On 4 October 2026, I received my diploma from the postgraduate programme in National Security Management at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, Poland’s oldest school of economics, founded in 1906.
The programme brought together a multidisciplinary faculty of academics and practitioners covering defence policy, deterrence, energy security, cybersecurity and the shaping of the current international security order. As someone working daily in an international organisation mandated for conflict prevention, I found both new analytical tools and perspectives that are already informing my professional work.
My postgraduate thesis examined strategic state resilience as a component of security and deterrence on NATO’s eastern flank after 2022, focusing on the Baltic States.
I am grateful to the programme’s creators and organisers, Prof. Tomasz Cicirko and Dr Renata Pajewska-Kwaśny, and to the entire faculty for a programme that combines rigorous theory with first-hand operational experience. Special thanks to Prof. Dorota Niedziółka, Vice-Rector, for presenting the diplomas and for her vision of an open, modern institution preparing professionals to meet real security challenges.
